The Milltown Road Preserve

. Milltown Road PreserveThis Lockatong Creek property is on Milltown Road in Kingwood Township-a short distance past the bridge over the creek. It is prominently posted with Green Acres signs so that you can easily locate it.
The land, which was previously purchased by a developer and subdivided, was on the brink of development. HLTA acted quickly and, after countless meetings with the owner and with the State Green Acres program, brought about a successful transaction whereby the state purchased the property and HLTA monitors it.
HLTA has a project area that follows the Lockatong Creek and we are actively attempting to protect other properties along this important resource. Fortunately, this one will be spared the backhoe and saved for the future. The restrictions on this land prevent any development-forever.
The magnificent views of the Lockatong Creek and peaceful walks through the woods are now yours. The land is open to you and your family for hiking, passive recreation, and your general enjoyment.
